Jakarta — Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto who is also the elected president for 2024-2029 was present accompanying Indonesian President Joko Widodo at the Inauguration of the elected members of the Indonesian Parliament at the Nusantara Building, DPR/MPR/DPR RI, on Tuesday (1/10).
Prabowo was seen arriving together with Jokowi and they were in the same presidential car with the license plate number RI 1. Jokowi was seen getting out from the left side door of the car while Prabowo got out from the right side door.
Both of them were known to have left together after attending the Commemoration Ceremony of Pancasila Sanctity Day which falls on October 1, 2024 at the Pancasila Sanctity Monument, Lubang Buaya, East Jakarta.
They were also seen wearing suits, Jokowi wore a navy blue suit and a red tie while Prabowo wore a black suit and a gray tie with white stripes. In addition, Jokowi and Prabowo also wore black peci hats and red and white flag pins on the left side of their chests.
Jokowi and Prabowo walked side by side and were welcomed by the Secretary General of the Indonesian Parliament Indra Iskandar, they shook hands and exchanged smiles and greetings.
Next, Jokowi and Prabowo walked together towards the Nusantara Building lobby to take a photo together with the Chairman of the General Election Commission (KPU) Afifuddin, and several candidates for members of the Parliament, Regional Representatives Council (DPD), and People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) before they entered the Turtle Building together.
